Score Big This Season: Best Practices for a Seamless Football Season

Football season is upon us! Here are some best practices the Marketing Automation team recommends to help you make the most of this season. Setting up Add to Wallet reminders, tracking attendance throughout the season, and reaching out to customers who have not used their tickets are just a few of the strategies that can take your football season to the next level! In this blog, we’ll outline three campaigns that can help streamline your game day activities and improve the overall experience for fans.

Mobile Ticket Reminders

Make game day smoother by proactively reaching out to fans with automated mobile ticket reminders. Send these reminders 4 or 5 days before the event and a final reminder the day before or morning of the event to ensure fans have downloaded their tickets to their mobile wallets. This simple step not only streamlines entry but also enhances the overall game day experience.

If you haven’t set these reminders up for the season yet, don’t worry! Contact your marketing automation representative with the name of the email, the applicable season and event codes for the football season, and your mobile disposition codes. Be sure to specify when you’d like these reminders to go out (4-5 days before, day before, or day of the event).

 Attendance Data Tracking

Stay in the loop on fan engagement this football season with our new attendance data feature. By leveraging an Eloqua program and the Attended flag on the Tickets custom object, you can track how many games each contact has attended. This data can be used for future segmentation, lead scoring, and with a field merge, can be inserted into emails or landing pages for personalized communication.

Non-Usage Campaigns

Want to reach out to fans who are not attending games? No problem! Remind fans about transferring or reselling their tickets on SeatGeek with a non-usage campaign. This campaign is perfect for informing fans of their options if they can’t attend a game. Enhance this campaign by creating an Eloqua landing page that provides a step by step guide on how to sell tickets on SeatGeek and linking it in your non-usage emails. Game Day Landing Pages

Try utilizing an Eloqua Landing Page to host your most crucial information for game day! These landing pages can be sent via email or embedded on your website! Don’t know where to start? Check out our training on landing pages.

As football season ramps up, implementing these strategies can help enhance fan engagement and ensure a smooth game day experience!
