Salesforce Einstein Data Sharing: What You Need to Know

Recently, Salesforce provided details regarding data sharing policies for its Einstein-powered large language model (LLM). If you are an administrator of your Salesforce Org, you may have received an email highlighting this change. Based on our review, these policies should not apply to any of our client’s Salesforce instances. Here is a bit more detail:

Salesforce’s Position on Data Sharing with Einstein

Salesforce has confirmed that certain data may be used to improve Einstein’s AI models when organizations actively use Einstein features that require model training. This is a standard industry practice aimed at enhancing AI accuracy and performance. However, Salesforce has also emphasized that:

  • Only data from organizations using Einstein features that involve model training may be included in the improvement process.

  • Data used for training is anonymized and aggregated to prevent exposure of sensitive or proprietary information.

  • Salesforce offers opt-out mechanisms for customers who wish to exclude their data from any training models.

What This Means for Our Clients

Our review indicates that none of our clients are currently using Einstein licenses or any additional paid Einstein features that would engage Salesforce’s LLM training process. This means:

✅ Your data is not shared with Salesforce's LLM for training purposes.

These updates should have no impact on your Salesforce instance.

No action is required on your part at this time.

If you would like additional assurance, we can assist you in submitting a formal Salesforce support case to confirm that your organization’s data is excluded from any Einstein LLM model training.

If you have any questions or would like us to initiate this process on your behalf, please contact your Salesforce Admin directly.
