Earlier this month, Paciolan represented at the 2023 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) & Affiliates Convention held in Orlando, FL. Several team members hosted panels, including Christian Lewis, Leah Baumgartner, Alan Pandiani, and Ryan Miller. Hear from each of the panelists on their experience at the conference!
Christian hosted an opening NAATSO keynote titled “From the Ticket Office to the Corner Office,” which included speakers Zack Lassiter (ACU), Scott Garrett (Cleveland State), and Gene Taylor (Kansas State).
It was such an honor to help once again facilitate the opening keynote for NAATSO 2023. Witnessing a full room filled with the best and brightest from College Athletics Ticketing shows how far NAATSO has come in a short period of time.

Leah hosted a panel at NACMA where marketing representatives from several schools discussed the process of building systems to help leverage magical seasons in athletics.
As a first-time NACDA Conference attendee, I came home totally inspired by the passion and insights of the Paciolan Community. And I know I wasn't alone - even in our NACMA session, when it came to Q/A over half the room raised their hands in an attempt to engage with our fantastic speakers: Julie Austin (TCU), Christopher Schoen (Colorado), and Shelby Burnette (Wake Forest). It is the people that make College Athletics such a special industry to work in.
Leah Baumgartner, Digital Marketing Strategist, Paciolan
Alan’s panel at CABMA focused on the growing trend of reimagining existing contests and bringing non-traditional events on campus to significantly impact revenue. The panel members: Anthony DiFino (Cincinnati), Martha Perez-Schmitz (Providence), Cory Hillard (Colorado) shared wins, best practices, and cautionary tales about concerts on campus, leveraging venues for a unique event, and how to capitalize on a “lightning in a bottle” opportunity.
NACDA is always a signature event in the collegiate athletics annual calendar, and this year was no different. It was an honor to pull together a group of high-performing senior administrators and hear how they capitalize on atypical circumstances for their departments. Having the ability to quickly and accurately manipulate data is an essential skill set for driving business outcomes more than ever.
Alan Pandiani, Director, College Athletics, Paciolan
Ryan held a NAATSO / NAADD roundtable discussion on how ticketing and donation teams can work together to drive revenue during these pivotal times of change, such as coaching changes, venue renovation and conference realignment. The discussion featured speakers Alexis Williams (Colorado), Matt Carson (North Texas), and Brad Hardekopf (UAB).
It is always so reenergizing to get together with everyone in our Pac Community. The brainstorming and open dialogue during the sessions always leads to some new and exciting ideas.
