(Feb. 25, 2013) – Paciolan, an industry-leading provider of ticketing, marketing, fundraising and sales automation solutions to more than 500 live entertainment organizations, announced today that it has recognized University of California, Berkeley (Cal), PlayhouseSquare and the Fox Theatre Atlanta (Fox Theatre) as recipients of the company’s seventh annual Heroes Awards. Each organization was acknowledged for their industry-leading innovations and achievements at PACnet ’13, Paciolan’s annual community conference, held February 10-13 in Newport Beach, Calif.

Cal was recognized as “Innovator of the Year,” which is given to the client who has implement the most innovating and creative programs, transforming their business and establishing themselves as an industry leader. Cal implemented “The Gold Standard Sales and Service Initiative” to build a relationship with each and every Cal fan and ensure they are the best customer service partner to all fans. Cal has employed a model of effective and proactive communication that is informative, transparent and timely in their commitment to focusing on listening and building customer relationships. The university has strived to preserve the history of the institution and its athletic programs, while also dedicating a service specialist for all season ticket holders and donors to maximize relationships with fans. Cal’s innovative program utilized forward-thinking initiatives, along with Paciolan-powered technologies, to create a successful customer service model to increase the fan experience and introduced a new standard within their community.
PlayhouseSquare captured the “Star of the Year” award, given to a client that has achieved great success and experienced outstanding results in the areas of marketing, ticketing or fundraising. PlayhouseSquare enjoyed a record-breaking year, embracing new solutions and technology to provide additional features and services for their organization, as well as their patrons. The performing arts venue implemented three new solutions from Paciolan, including the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system across their entire organization, Beta testing of Ticketing Intelligence for the performing arts market, and online pick-your-own seat for all seven of their reserved seat venues. PlayhouseSquare has continued utilizing dynamic pricing and also patron profiling to identify prospective season ticket holders, donors and lapsed renewing season ticket holders. Additionally, PlayhouseSquare incorporated Cleveland Playhouse and Cleveland State Performing Arts into the PlayhouseSquare family. Their record-breaking year saw PlayhouseSquare surpass 27,000 season ticketing holders, their largest Broadway base in the venue’s history, and a leading subscription base across the country.
The Fox Theatre Atlanta earned the company’s “Rookie of the Year” award, given to a newly installed client who has embraced new tools and technology to achieve outstanding success. The Fox Theatre truly embraced the venue-enablement model, implementing all of Paciolan’s suggested solutions within three-to-four months of going live with the company’s system. The Fox Theatre constantly strives to make the patron experience one that will retain customers and encourage lifelong relationships. The performing arts venue has developed thought-leading initiatives to sell more tickets, including Paciolan’s display ad retargeting, developed successful programs to retain and grow revenue, all while exhibiting overall excellence in ticketing and operations.
